The Water We Doing? Podcast Earns Prestigious Nomination in the 6th Annual Canadian Podcast Awards
Today The Water We Doing? Podcast was informed that it has been nominated for the Outstanding Science Series and Outstanding Artwork for a Series at the 6th Annual CANADIAN PODCAST AWARDS. These distinguished accolades celebrate excellence in podcasting, recognizing the exceptional contributions of Canadian podcasters, editors, and producers.
The Canadian Podcast Awards were established in 2018 by Podcamp Toronto to showcase the very best in Canadian on-demand digital audio production. The awards feature categories across topic areas such as documentary, politics, arts, and culture. Past winners include Front Burner, Parkdale Haunt, Minds of Madness, and Our Native Land. A full list of previous winners can be found at canpodawards.ca/award.
The Water We Doing? Podcast explores how our most precious commodity impacts our lives in so many different ways. The podcast guides listeners through complex environmental, social, and economic water issues that impact us all and introduces listeners to the experts working on solutions. With both condensed story-telling episodes guiding listeners through complex issues and the long form interviews with the experts themselves, the podcast has something for everyone. The podcast is collaborating with teachers across Canada to support Water-based curriculum development and creating lesson plans centered on podcast topics. This is the official podcast of the Aquatic Biosphere Project, a project to bring a Conservation Eco-Tourism Attraction to Edmonton, Alberta, to share the Story of Water far and wide.
"Nominees like The Water We Doing? Podcast exemplifies the wealth of talent we have here in Canada and reflects the unique attitudes, opinions, ideas, values, and creativity of Canadians," said John Leschinski, Chair of the Canadian Podcast Awards. "We had over 500 podcasts submitted this year from across the country – It's truly an incredible honor to be recognized and chosen by your fellow peers within the Canadian podcasting community."
Winners will be announced during a live-stream event online in December. So stay tuned for the results!
