David Evans

David Evans P. Biol. likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. With a background working in outdoor education, ecotoxicology and protected areas management, he is now a Field Coordinator for the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute and InnoTech Alberta. In this role he is responsible for field operations and the collection of biodiversity related data throughout the province of Alberta. Traveling to sites from the border with the North-West Territories to the border with Montana affords him a unique view of Alberta’s aquatic ecosystems and the challenges they face. He completed his Honours Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph while spending all his spare time guiding canoeing, hiking, sea kayaking, white-water kayaking and winter camping trips throughout Ontario and New York State.
