Paula Polman

Current work profile:

President MHV Ltd: Paula Polman is the President and owner of MHV Ltd, a consulting and coaching firm supporting the practical aspects of financial management in small and micro enterprises. From administration and accounting staff organisation and systems training, specialized programs implementation, from start up to assisting with transitions in processes, MHV Ltd is a custom support service to entrepreneurs and small business.

Background and involvement in the Aquarium Society:

Paula’s roll-up-your-sleeves entrepreneurial spirit launched the project in 2014. She has a long and diversified background in successful business creation, non-profit management and charity involvement. Her formal education includes a B.Sc. in Microbiology & Biochemistry from the University of Toronto and most recently, certification in Non-profit Management.

Passionate about water and community, Paula has certified as a scuba diver in the Great Lakes, slid down snow covered slopes across the country and spent many summers paddling the Interlake region of Manitoba/Ontario. She was involved in at the very beginnings of the Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto (MAST) and was part of the team that launched the first Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA). She is a proud recipient of the Canadian Ski Patrol Award #722 after 16 years as a volunteer in two provinces and one territory. The Aquatic Biosphere Project is her next great adventure.
